What is cold? What is the coldest temperature possible? What happens to various objects when they get very cold? Come see a liquid nitrogen cannon, watch frozen pennies shatter, and volunteer to help with other demonstrations on stage.

 

MIT Lincoln Laboratory Security

MIT Lincoln Laboratory employs various security procedures to protect its personnel and its physical and intellectual assets. These procedures require all visitors to provide government-issued identification.

Electronic devices such as laptops, cell phones, 2-way pagers, PDAs, 2-way radios, cameras, and recording devices are not authorized inside the Laboratory. Event attendees (including Lincoln Laboratory personnel) should leave electronic devices in their vehicle.

Parental/adult escort is required for all children.

Registered adults must bring a government form of identification.

Science on Saturday events are fun, free science demonstrations at Lincoln Laboratory and are given several times each school year by our scientists and engineers. All local community K–12 students, their parents, and their teachers are welcome to attend these events. Parental/adult escort is required for all children.
